SOLUTIONS TO - ENVIRONMENT POLLUTION
Recycle
Recycling is the best way to reduce pollution. If we recycle, then we don't have to worry about dumping toxic chemicals into our environment. We can use these materials again and again. There are many ways to recycle. You can reuse plastic bags, bottles, cans, paper, cardboard, glass, metals, and even wood. When recycling, make sure that the material is clean and free of any contaminants before reusing.
Reduce
Reducing is the second step in reducing pollution. Reducing means using less of something. For example, if you want to buy a new car, you might think about buying a smaller model instead of a larger one. Or, if you're going to eat out at a restaurant, you could choose to order a salad over fries. By choosing to reduce, you'll help keep the environment cleaner.
Reuse
Reusing is the third step in reducing pollution. Reusing means taking old items and putting them back into service. For example, if your friend drops off some clothes at your house, you could put those clothes right back into her closet. Or, if you've got some leftover food in the refrigerator, you could reheat it later in the week. By reusing, you'll help keep our environment cleaner.
Compost
Composting is the fourth step in reducing pollution. Composting is the act of turning organic matter into a rich fertilizer. You can compost things like grass clippings, kitchen scraps, coffee grounds, tea leaves, banana peels, apple cores, and egg shells. Composting helps to break down organic matter and turn it into a rich fertilizer.
Buy Local
Buying local is the fifth step in reducing pollution. Buying local means buying products produced close to home. This reduces transportation costs and keeps money in your community. Buying local is also good for the environment.
